Criterion is a talented team of people who live and breathe games; from table top to video games. You’ll find us playing, creating, breathing and talking games. In fact, gaming is so important to us that we purposefully have a chunk of time set aside to play games every day! Learning from the widest range of experiences makes our own games better.

Criterion don’t put people in boxes. Folks here have freedom to navigate their careers the way their hearts take them – we’re not big on labels. Our features are built by teams who choose to work together, actively encouraging cross-discipline crack squads to solve the toughest problems.

We are a team of creative collaborators and we believe that the most effective collaborators communicate face-to-face. We have an open plan office with desks on wheels so we can sit nearby those we work most closely with. When it only takes 5 minutes to move our desks, it totally changes how we work with other people.

Our people have lives outside work and we believe a healthy work/life balance is essential to making incredible games. We explore new ways of working and thinking, such as Mindfulness training and in-house courses. We also find flexible hours significantly improve our well-being.

Over the years, we’ve learned that crunching is flat-out stupid, so we don’t do it.

We’re housed inside EA Games Guildford headquarters with great facilities. We have a free onsite gym and personal trainers that offer classes such as Boxing, Yoga and Cross-Training. Our Cafe has an array of delicious food and our veteran barista, Marcio is always on hand to brew up the best coffee and hot chocolate. The cafe holds monthly bar night events, such as a pub quiz and open mic night, which are always well attended and great fun! You’ll also find other activities such as EA Outreach charity and fund-raising events.
